Summary/Description[]
Ms. Marmalady orders for a flower-shaped spy camera so as to attempt copying the Bean Team's recipes, but will her plan finally bear fuit and restore her pride or fail just like her previous attempts?
Plot[]
Cricket asked the Mayor of Puddlebrook how her breakfast was whiles her big sister serves other customers outside the café with tea. Her response was puns on each of them to make Cricket giggle; eggs for egg-cellent, the berry yogurt being "berry good" and the tea, which she took a sip of before saying "tea-riffic". Butterbean assured her her team always try to make them fairy special, which she agrees and declaring "no-one does it like Butterbean's!" before leaving. Ms. Marmalady, who spied Butterbean thanking the mayor from her café, reeled in her statement before her monkey employees came in with her package. She unveiled it as a flower-shaped wireless spy camera (which she called "FlowerScope Mini"), which her monkeys said was "outside but small". She tested it on her little PC which worked no little fuss. She repackaged it with a note and gave it to the monkeys to give to Butterbean. She told them to tell her "It is a fairy special gift from her café. She told the viewer(s) her plan for sending the spy camera there. The monkeys went to the knocked on their café and knocked on their door. Butterbean opened and came out along with her little sister and after Spatch read the note, Spork gave it to the former. She unknowingly thanks them for what she calls a "so nice" act, but as expected, Cricket wasn't buying it and resorted to the audience to proclaim that she is up to something. Ms. Marmalady and her monkey aides heard Dazzle ask which of Butterbean and Cricket would help her make the day's special: razzle-dazzle smoothies. Cricket availed herself and Ms. Marmalady copied every word of recipe verbally and in action. Despite the monkeys watching on, she credited them. Cricket went out to draw the special on the board as she shared her excitement with Cookie, only to seconds later eavesdrop on Ms. Marmalady serving the exact range of smoothies under the alias; razzle-marmazzle smoothies to two male customers. Poppy and Dazzle came out and the former have Cricket confirm exactly what she heard as well as the latter adding she is thoughtfully copying them. Dazzle tried to serve them with her versions, but they colly denied having already gotten her rival's. She guessed the special's not so special anymore, but Poppy thought of another dish for the special: her signature poppy-seed muffins/cupcakes. She was confident it could not be copied since it was all in her head. The reality was, so long as the flower-shaped camera remained in the café and no matter the special change, Ms. Marmalady got a head start as well as the customers to serve them to. Cricket berated her anger to the viewer(s) about her copying the bean team's recipes. She admitted she couldn't figure out what was in the "flower" which was facilitating it.
Butterbean came into the kitchen rounding up her call with the mayor with some sandwiches. She told them as she used her magic whisk to package them in a box that the mayor wanted some of her favorite key lime bars for dessert as part of their lunch delivery to city hall. The response to her request of making them and bringing them over was glum from her team. When she asked them why those faces, her little sister began by reiterating Ms. Marmalady copying their recipes, Dazzle added what will happen if they did make it and Jasper ended with wonder if she rather brings her bars to the mayor. Butterbean asked for indemnity if they knew, which Poppy responded negatively, and restored confidence back to them by assuring them to be less bothered about what she is doing as she can't copy what makes them special. After she reminded them of what the mayor said earlier in the episode in unison that no one does it like Butterbean's, Poppy assured them they'll start making the bars right away. Satisfied and thanking them, Butterbean flew out to city hall with the package whereas Ms. Marmalady, who saw and heard everything they said, proclaimed they'll get there first. Sipping on her smoothie, she said what they mayor would say about her bars in unison with Spork & Spatch: "No one does like Marmalady's!" Poppy asked Cricket to collect some limes from a bowl, which she did and in the process finally hearing the sound from the camera. She took another lime from the bowl looking pensive at the camera to see if it would move again and it did to her shock which she shared with the viewer(s).
With the truth sunk into her system, she gathered Poppy, Dazzle and Jasper inside the pantry and told them what she found out as well as demonstrate it with a fish toy which she removed from her apron pocket and threw in front of a sleeping Cookie. As soon as she woke up and began playing with it, the camera moved to her direction as the four watched before slamming the pantry door shut. A suggestion came from Cricket that they should get rid of it, but Dazzle had a better idea. She trivialized the four that if Ms. Marmalady is copying every single move they make, then she can also copy something really icky, i.e. trick her by making key slime bars instead of key lime bars. Cricket approved and saw that as a way to expose her treachery to her big sister and the mayor. Cricket and Jasper began proclaiming they were going to make the key lime bars for their dessert, with Poppy and Dazzle laughing in the background knowing full well Ms. Marmalady will buy into it. They made the procedure with utterly gross and unpleasant ingredients like slimy mushrooms, stinky cheese, a pickle, and a pepper. After she package it into an icy chest, Spatch questioned her that they should use limes for key lime bars. However, she chose to stick to what they did as they didn't use limes and hyped them by repeating what the mayor would say when she tastes them.
The sight of the city hall was what the episode switched to in time for the mayor to tell Butterbean she and her guests are saving room for some desserts. She assured them that her team would join her any minute, but seconds later, Ms. Marmalady appeared in her cart-like Locomobile known as the "Marmacycle". She interrupted Butterbean questioning what she is doing there by rushing to serve her key slime bars via Spork & Spatch so as to cause the mayor to repeat the decree she told Butterbean earlier in the episode. The bean arrived via the sweet ride and stopped the mayor just as she was about to take a bite. When Ms. Marmalady tried to show off that hers were better than theirs, Poppy told the truth that they were key slime bars she made instead of key lime bars much to the shock of Butterbean, the mayor, and her guests. She took a bite of one of herself so as to prove true what she made were the real bars but saw the truth in its taste. She admitted copying the recipe and Cricket who had her flower-shaped camera in hand after bringing it along with them handed it over to her, cautioned her that it would be the last time she would copy any of the bean team's recipes. With Ms. Marmalady taking it in anger and reeling from the taste of her own bars, Cricket laughed as the monkeys took the key slime bars away from the mayor's table. They mayor then asked for their key lime bars which Butterbean passed to her team, but they got guilt-ridden whines as a response, with Dazzle admitting they spent more time on the key slime bars that they didn't make the key lime bars and apologized. Butterbean requested the mayor for one more chance to show her and her guests that no one does it like her team and she dully granted it, after which the former told her team; "Let's Get Cooking!". They made the actual key lime bars accompanied by the signature cooking tune, after which they brought them to her. She got the assurance from Poppy that it was definitely the real bars - all-lime and no-slime. Butterbean did the fairy finish with a copying bean on the bars to self-multiply on the dishes with Cricket saying she likes that kind of copying. Cricket concluded the episode's events to the viewer(s) that she was worried about Ms. Marmalady copying their recipes that they forgot what makes them special - make their food their way. She and her big sister said in unison as they took a bite out of their pieces of key lime bars the mayor's decree and giggled before the episode screen faded out.
