Magic Beans exist in the world of the show Butterbean's Café. They are typically used for good, but sometimes, can be used for malicious purposes. All types of beans have different variants.
Good Beans[]
Butterbean's trinket box
The Beans that Butterbean possesses are good beans. They are used to make fun with magic or cause something fun to happen. Butterbean first used them in "The Grand Opening!" (show premiere) when she found them in her trinket box, where she keeps all of her beans.
Bad Beans[]
Bad Beans are used in malicious ways, to stop or harm others. Ms. Marmalady has possession of these beans. She first acquired these beans in the episode "The Legend of the Shadow Bean!" and used it through to the end of Season 2.
Trivia[]
- Any bean, or magic in general, whether good or not, has the ability to wreak havoc if misused.
- This is proved in the episode "Tricky Sticky Buns!", where Poppy and Dazzle misuse the sticky bean and accidently stick their hands together.
- It is also shown that fairies don't necessarily need beans to do magic.
- In "Rainbow Noodle Soup!" Poppy does magic with her magic spoon, but the effects from magic without beans are weaker and more prone to faults.
- There are also different rarities for certain bean types. For example, in "The Sugar Plum Fairy!", Ms. Peartree gives Butterbean a rare Sugar Plum Bean.
