Summary/Description[]

With Cricket inadvertently giving out Poppy's cookbook to Ms. Learnerbrook for her book drive, how will Poppy cook a beloved bean team snack?

Plot[]

Butterbean and Cricket entered the café where they greeted Dazzle and Poppy. Poppy told Cricket when requested what she was doing that she's trying to decide what to make. As she flipped the pages of her cookbook, she mentioned previous snacks made in previous episodes. What she didn't mention was spotted by Butterbean, who stopped her flipping – popovers. Dazzle reminds them of its look and feel. Poppy said they have to be made out of every detail in her cookbook so as to get the taste right. She made up a rhyme from her own saying to bring the giggles out of the girls so did Cricket before Ms. Learnerbrook showed up with a box. She said she wanted some books for her book drive. Dazzle asked her what a book drive is as Poppy went to look for books to donate, which she replied. Poppy brought out the books and went back to start her cooking. Butterbean offered to donate snack to the tenants of her book drive; she says she's been talking about Poppy's precise popovers. As Ms. Learnerbrook thanked her, Cricket slipped the books – including Poppy's cookbook – inside the box. She repeated Cricket's rhyme as she left to bring giggles out of the girls. Poppy shared her excitement about making the popovers with the viewer(s).

Poppy sought after her cookbook, but after incorrectly mistaken her cookbook as part of the books she donated, she went together with the bean team to get it back. She told the viewer(s) what they just thought of doing next. At the book drive close to the school, Ms. Marmalady was present to check out the books. Ms. Learnerbrook told her about Poppy generous gesture to donate some of her books and the café's special, rhyming Cricket's version of it. After she left, she looked through them and help Poppy's cookbook. Looking through the pages, she saw the recipes and landed on the popovers page. After seemingly uttering her schemes to herself albeit in the direction ofthe audience. Ms. Learnerbrook reminded her of the popovers as she headed out, but no sooner had she left on her Marmacycle than the sweet ride appeared. Poppy told Ms. Learnerbrook about her missing cookbook and she showed them the table where the books are.

As she and her friends looked through, Ms. Marmalady told Spork and Spatch about getting the cookbook and the recipes of the café. Back at the school, Poppy was dejected at not finding her cookbook, but Butterbean reasoned with her that she could make the popovers as long as she remembers the recipe without any cookbook at all. Poppy agreed and had them back to the rear end of the sweet ride to get the ingredients to make them. The switch to Marmalady's Café saw Ms. Marmalady assemble her own ingredients and popover-making tray. Seeing the recipe, she rhymed Poppy's rhyme from earlier in the episode, adding she doesn't have time for it. She told her monkey aides to spell out the porcedure. As they said it, she poured milk and dumped the other ingredients on it without measuring any, as well as pouring salt intead of sugar, not knowing the difference in taste. She took it to the oven for baking and told the viewer(s) how excited she is to share her version of the popovers with the folks of Puddlebrook.

Inside the sweet ride, Poppy rhymed one last time about her mode of preparation. She, Butterbean and Cricket made them with the rolling of Let'sGet Cooking!. As soon as Ms. Learnerbrook told the tenants next to her to smell the popovers, Ms. Marmalady arrived and began her advertisement of her version. But the sheer disgust in appearance convinced them to back off. To persuade them, she took a bite of her own and realised it herself. When Poppy brought hers, they felt and uttered sheer relief and went towards them. When Ms. Learnerbrook asked Butterbean if there's a fairy finish, she affirmed and did it with a booksies bean. Butterbean commended Poppy for her work, but she still looked dejected at not having her cookbook. Ms. Marmalady threw it on the floor close to them, thinking it did her no good, before leaving. Cricket saw it, picked it up and showed it to her. Whereas Poppy looked confused, Butterbean and Cricket hugged her to suggest, Hey it's here, you've seen it! So what's the fuss?! Butterbean summed up her view of the day's events and rhymed her litte sister's rhyme with her as they took a bite of their popovers and giggle.

Trivia[]

  • The viewer(s) would've been treated with some magic in terms of the bean team not seeing Poppy's cookbook until the end of the episode.
  • At the end of the episode, she lied that Poppy's cookbook didn't serve her well. Meanwhile back in her preparation, she poured and dumped ingredients on the popover tray without measuring any, as well as pouring salt intead of sugar, hence the awful taste.
