Plot[]
Jasper brings a box of carrots, onions and salary into the café to be appreciated by Dazzle and Poppy. The latter asked him if Butterbean is in, but he replies he hasn't seen her. Dazzle thinks she she should be there; Poppy agreed and added that they have to come up with the day's special. A call comes and Dazzle answers. It's Butterbean, but in pyjamas/pajamas and in bed. As soon as she sneezed, it became clear why she didn't show up. When Poppy asked her about the special, Butterbean replied that she had already prepared it being known as rainbow noodle soup which turns out to be Cricket's favorite. Butterbean told them to remove the big pot which has it and that they should just warm it up and serve. She sneezed again as she was about ending what she said they can call her if they have any trouble. Dazzle and Poppy assured her they don't need to and verbally imitated Butterbean's quote when she reminded them: "Kitchen mistakes don't mean you're through, keep on cooking is what we do."
Mr. Denboro and Mr. Brookwrench looked at the special meal Cricket drew on the specials board and expressed their like for it. She told them to come back later for some to their delight. Poppy told them to help her take the pot of soup out of the fridge. Its might was too much for both of Dazzle told them to hold that the left it and it poured it down, splashing it on the floor. Cricket straightaway thought of calling Butterbean, but Poppy told her about her promise she made to be able to run the café without her. Dazzle reminded them of what Butterbean would do if she were with them and in unison they repeated the quote from the beginning paragraph – meaning they'll have to make a new pot of rainbow noodle soup. Poppy hasn't made it before as Butterbean always makes it herself. She repeated what she said to the viewer(s) and hoped for the best.
The team made the teamwork gesture and made rainbow noodle soup accompanied with the Let's Get Cooking! song. Cricket express her smell for it, but Poppy hadn't yet poured the rainbow noodles to the soup. She pours but floats around when they expect a rainbow to be conjured out. Dazzle told them Butterbean uses magic to make the rainbows so that's what they'll do. A customer came in and Dazzle attended to who it was – revealed as Mr. Brookwrench – who requested rainbow noodle soup. Dazzle called for a bowl-of-soup order, but Poppy told her in whispers it's not ready as the magic (fairy finish) hasn't been added yet. She collects the soup anyway and serves it with Cricket adding some moon-shaped bread. Dazzle tries to do the fairy finish with her magic pen without any magic beans but freezes the soup. She apologizes to him and he accepts but left saying he's got to get back to his tyre/tire shop. Before they could think about what happened, Mrs. Schruder came in with Reuben excited about the rainbow noodle soup. She requested for one bowl and Dazzle tried to deviate his thoughts by opting to rather serve them some freshly made sandwiches – Reuben himself wasn't buying it. Poppy brings a bowl of the soup and Cricket adds some moon-shaped bread. Poppy tries to do the magic (fairy finish) without any magic beans just like Dazzle's, but makes the soup bowl small. Poppy apologized for it, but Mrs. Schruder wasn't fazed and added it was Reuben's nap time and that he should go – so they did. They lament how they are having a hard time satisfying customers with the rainbow noodle soup without Butterbean's magic touch/fairy finish. Cricket took off the sign outside and Dazzle told the audience the matter, if not what is wrong.
Jasper came in for some rainbow noodle soup and saw the girls dejected and asked them why, which Poppy replies. He likes it and told them to try it – which they did. Poppy said it's not Butterbean's version of the soup, but Dazzle assured her yummy soup is yummy soup however the outcome. A customer came into the café – revealed as Ms. Gateau – who smelt the aroma coming from the kitchen and asked what it was. With Dazzle replying it's their special soup, she asked for a bowl. It was served along with some moon-shaped bread. After she tasted and approved of it, another customer from nowhere also asked for a bowl. Poppy and Dazzle told the audience about the experience; the former adding were so worried about doing a perfect job they almost gave up; but thought so that her boss will be proud for sticking to what she always told them to do: keep on cooking.
Butterbean felt better and Dazzle, Poppy and Cricket came to Butterbean and Cricket's house to offer her some of the soup. Before that, though, she asked how the day went with the original soup. Dazzle told her the bad news – the soup was spilled – and added the good news by presenting the soup to her. She smelt it before taking a sip and told her friends to try the soup themselves. Cricket told her there's no magic in it, which Butterbean became less worried, and called it fairy friendship soup, as Poppy told her they hadn't thought of a name but they made it together. Butterbean takes her whisk, opens the beans case/box, removes the friendship bean and does the fairy finish to conjure the team's trademark symbols – including Butterbean's – to their awe. Butterbean offered a lesson to the audience that things sometimes don't go the way they plan them, but it's not always a bad thing – adding that a happy accident might happen, which she says, it's pretty sweet when it does!
