Summary/Description[]
Cricket is excited to get her training wheels off her bike so she can ride like a big kid – little did she know it would be hard. But when she and Butterbean can't get the sweet ride to the park because of the bike path present, can she overcome her fear and help deliver a snack to a customer?
Plot[]
Cricket was riding her bike way ahead of Butterbean, who admitted her getting really good on her bike, before Sasha rode to and greeted them. Cricket asked her if it was hard riding without training wheels, to which she replied it being first tricky but it is able with a lot of practice. Cricket wishes to get her training wheels off. Butterbean asked if she's ready, which she affirmed, saying she's been on them since she was more or less a toddler. Butterbean assured her she'll take them off a little later in the afternoon, which she got excited about, ringing the bell to bring giggles out of them. Then as Cricket continued to ride on, her big sister and Sasha headed inside the café. Cricket shared her excitement with the viewer(s) on getting her training wheels off.
Butterbean asked Sasha what she came to the café for; she wants to surprise her friends with a snack for delivery. Butterbean, inspired by Dazzle showing a bradstick/baguette, suggested a bicycle made out of breadsticks and she showed her the procedure to making them with the addition of tomato sauce. Sasha like the idea and Butterbean told Poppy about it to be delivered at Sasha's request by 2 o'clock. Poppy expressed her delight as she'd never made a bike out of breadsticks before. Both made it along with the tomato sauce with the rolling of Let's Get Cooking!. Cricket asked her big sister if it was time to take the training wheels off; she got the assurance from Poppy that she has things under control in the kitchen.
Butterbean takes the training wheels off with her whisk. They started training with balance. She held her little sister first time while she rode and the second. But for the second, she let her go for 3 seconds and she zig-zagged and almost fell. The third was a little more progress, only for her to hit the bushes. Butterbean still injected positivity in her despite cutting a dejected face. A couple collected their order of one cheese sandwich and one carrot juice. Dazzle asked her boss how Cricket was doing outside, only to hear bushes rattle and her grunt seconds later. She told her she hasn't got the riding well. She told the viewer(s) exactly the same thing, but added she's proud of her for not giving up.
Jasper came and saw Cricket sitting down dejected and after telling her about her no-training wheels, began to encourage her that he had a hard time using his skateboard before becoming an expert, using himself as a Jasper disaster. He added that she shouldn't give up as she'll one day be able to ride the bike like a champ. Butterbean came and ask her if she'll like to come along, which she somewhat disagreed. But she changed her answer to a positive when she told her she can bring her bike along just in case.
The Bean Team packs the snack in the sweet ride for Butterbean to take to the park. Dazzle told them to get going if they are to get there by 2 o'clock. When they got there, they were blocked, as there was a bike path blocked by the gate. The sisters called out to them but they hardly heard. Sasha consoled her friends about Butterbean not bringing the breadstick bicycle and threatened to leave in motion, but Cricket took off her bike from the sweet ride and told her she was going to catch up with them before they leave. When asked if she was surely ready, she replied she was going to try. Cricket gets a little push from her big sister before pedaling and pedaling until Sasha and her friends saw her. She told her to follow her as she rode back towards her big sister, after which she and Butterbean hugged. Butterbean uses a riding bean to do the fairy finish on the bike snack to make it ride temmporarily. Cricket jovially told them to eat it before it rides away, so they did. She appreciated her big sister for teaching her how to ride. She returned the complement and they both hugged. Butterbean ended by saying her little sister deserves all the credit she can get learning how to ride her bike like a big kid. Cricket rang the bell to bring giggles out of her and her sister.
Trivia[]
- Butterbean said the Bean Team would use "cheesy breadsticks" (which in reality are known as baguettes) to make the said snack. This is to believe in the preschooler(s) not learning a confusing word before elementary school (primary school in Africa and the UK).
- Sasha's friends wating for the beadstick bike snack was Lulu, whom they were together for the episodes Dazzle Loves To Sing! and Tic-Tac Tomato! and a male who is seen in a video call in the episode Cricket's Get-Well Wagon!.
- Cricket said she was almost ready when she got past the bike path gate, but she soon pedalled expertly off encouraged by her big sister.
