Summary/Description[]
Cricket is depressed at not finding eggs during the egg hunt with other kids, but when a bean-team-made basket of easter eggs are taken away by Spork and Spatch, can Cricket revive her egg hunt feeling?
Plot[]
Butterbean and Cricket were mounting an easter buffet while the other kids go searching through small plants and bushes for an egg. Seeing this and thinking it'll be fun, Cricket halted serving, picked a basket and went to Dottie, who got hers as well. For others, finding and picking eggs were a breeze; for Cricket – not so much, hence looking disappointed with an empty basket. At Marmalady's, Ms. Marmalady, spying the events at her rival café, wondered what the kids were looking for; Spork and Spatch answered her, with the former saying it is fun. Their boss, however, says it's normal enjoyment. Butterbean called out to the kids to come enjoy a buffet and some pink lemonade. She saw her little sister still dejected because of the failure to obtain a single easter egg and tried to cheer up with lemonade. She shared the same feelings with the viewer(s) in her first interaction and wished she call find a way of making her feel better. Ms. Marmalady got an idea to get easter eggs for their own egg hunt. The parents bid farewell to Butterbean and Cricket as they disbanded the kids from the café. When they got inside, Dazzle brought out what she heard as well as Jasper. He claimed he got eggs from Farmer Carly's farm so they can dye them into easter eggs when Cricket said 'zero' and Poppy said she'll make a basket out of bread to put them in. As Cricket's gloom mood overturned, Butterbean connected her bean screen to the Beanitor to show her how they'll make it, which they did accompanied by the Let's Get Cooking! tune. Cricket in her second interview wished she could've got some eggs for her basket instead of the team making a new batch.
Spork and Spatch prowled the café front in search of eggs. Spork saw the basket of eggs through the front window and took them. He inadvertently threw an egg over as he and Spatch headed for Marmalady's. Back at Butterbean's, Poppy told Butterbean there are enough eggs to make cookies; she replied making an eastery shape for them. Dazzle just finshed serving a customer and told Cricket to clear the tables, which made her realize that the basket is gone. She told Butterbean, but she rather saw that as redemption for Cricket and her egg hunt, giving her an ordinary basket for it. Dazzle gave her her bunny beaurette and Butterbean told her to hop to it. She verbally repeated the past minute in her next interaction with the viewer(s).
Spork and Spatch moved with eggs still dropping from the basket and a butterfly from nowhere helped much. Cricket was searching for the eggs, then she saw the monkeys head back to Marmalady's and decided to follow them. When they reached, they showed Ms. Marmalady the empty area in the basket. She demanded the eggs and upon heading out the door, they collided with Cricket who saw the basket they took and tried scolding them about the missing eggs. When Ms. Marmalady told her there were no eggs here, Cricket rather saw the chance for an easter egg battle – (not a hunt) with the Marmalady's crew (or Marmacrew for short). With, if not during, the battle, Cricket's filling of her basket with the eggs was helped by a hasty Ms. Marmalady in her Marmacycle and the reciprocal inadvertence of Spork and Spatch. As she came close to the café, her big sister – and Jasper – cheered her on. When she brought the eggs to them, they counted and said it was left with one. When she saw them lose ground live, she vented out her disappointment. In that point, both Spork and Spatch have worked their movements into getting the final egg. With her sour face turned upside down, she showed them to the Marmacyle, but they stopped to see Cricket's giving-up face. Ms. Marmalady really wanted them to leave, but the monkeys chose to give the egg to Cricket and head to Butterbean's instead. Poppy then came out with a plate of bunny-shaped or rabbit-shaped cookies and Butterbean did the fairy finish with the hoping bean on the cookies to make them hop. Everyone got one; Poppy came to Ms. Marmalady to share the cookies. One came – and went – from her and she chased it down whiles Cricket got her confidence back in egg hunting. Butterbean ended by telling the viewer(s) the adventure they saw what she'll call a very hoppy ending, with Cricket hoping to bring giggles to both of them ending the episode in the process.
Trivia[]
- Cricket was annoyed at first when she found out that Ms. Marmalady and Spork and Spatch are behind the theft of the bean-team-made basketful of eggs, but saw this as an opprtunity to regain her happiness to collect eggs for another egg hunt – this time with them.
